Writing My Post, Dinner, & Sleeping Early! (WA) “DAY 109” 10/20/10

October 21, 2010 - 6:44 am (WA) “DAY 108”
Currently

Right now I am sitting in front of Husky Stadium writing this post because I am in line to see Obama’s speech in Seattle, Washington.  I got up at 3:30 am and left by 4 to be her in line by 4:30 am.

After 2 hours of waiting in line, I decided to go back to my car and grab my laptop so I could write “Day 108”. I might as well kill to birds with one stone. 😉

But.... this is beginning of tomorrow’s post... so you’ll just have to wait.  (I wanted to let you know where I was writing from.)  Now on to today (well yesterday 10/20/10).

On to Today (Well yesterday)
Last night I didn’t go to bed until 6:30 in the morning. (That’s what happens when you play poker. ;))  So needless to say, I didn’t get up before noon.  I did eventually wake up around 12:30 pm and as soon as I walked into the kitchen to get a morning drink...

I saw note that said “Rooster” (held together with tin foil) covering a plate with something under it.  I looked real quick and saw it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Ahhh... that Brooklyn is so thoughtful and sweet!

Brooklyn
Brooklyn is Casey’s wife 11 year old daughter.  I met her 5 years ago at Casey’s wedding and she still remembered me when I arrived last Friday.  Anyway, yesterday I said something to her about making me a PB&J sandwich cause I was hungry (I was just kidding but I do love PB&J :)).

So I guess... this morning when she woke up, she made me a PB&J before she went to school and left it for me for lunch.  She is so awesome!  Thank you so much Brooklyn and... it was real good too!

Yankee Play-off Game
Luckily, I woke up when I did because the Yankee game started at 1:15 pm (West Coast time).  I was sitting in the living room watching the game when Brooklyn came home early from school (she had a half-day).

I kept writing as Brooklyn and I watched the Yankee game.  Then, I figured I would do something to make Casey mad, so I got my A-Rod jersey, made Brooklyn put it on, and forced her to route on the Yanks with me! 🙂

She didn’t want to because she said that Casey would ground her if he found out she was wearing a Yankee jersey and routing for them to win.  So I asked just to take a picture with it on so I could send it to Casey at work.

As soon as Casey got the text of Brooklyn in a A-Rod jersey, he sent her a text saying she was grounded! LOL 🙂  He really did. F.Y.I. - Later in the night he resinded the grounding if she burned some Yankee paraphernalia. 😉

October 21, 2010 - 3:30 pm - (WA) “DAY 108” (finishing my post)
Dinner

Lisa had gotten home by now and started cooking dinner (she was making tacos). Everything about the tacos was great except for the taco shells themselves.  They were already broken before we even took them out of the box.  Damn Taco Company!

We grabbed the box to see where they were made and... they made in Piscataway, New Jersey!  LOL  I didn’t even know NJ made taco shells?.  I guess that’s why... it’s a bad product!

I really didn’t mind because the taco shells still tasted good, I just had to be delicate while I ate them. 😉  We finished eating dinner in the kitchen and headed to living room to watch TV.

Watching TV With Casey & His Family
We (Casey, Lisa, Brooklyn, and I) were all in the living room watching TV when Casey jumped on the computer because nothing was really on.  He noticed somehow (computer surfing) that the President was going to be at the University of Washington tomorrow (10/21/10).

Well... that’s all I needed to hear so I asked Casey to find out more information about the event.  We found out that it was open and free to the public (first come first serve).  The only thing you had to do was register your name on-line and be one of the first 10,000 people to show.

Casey kept surfing around and found a few articles/news videos about the Obama coming to town.  They said that people were sleeping out over night and that over 20,000 people had registered to attend the event.  (Only 10K are getting in!)

I realized then that I was gonna have to get their early if I was gonna go and I wanted to.  So I laid down on the couch and took a nap (it was 8:30 pm).  My plan was to sleep for a little bit and then get up to go the democratic rally.

Well... that’s all that happened today because my nap turned into sleep and I didn’t wake up until 3:30 am.  It was worth it because... well... you’ll just have to read about it tomorrow.

Although, you can deduce from the beginning of the post that I at least attempted to make it to the Democratic rally!

Thanks for reading!  (Don’t miss tomorrow’s post! :))
